Brisbane est la troisième ville d'Australie et celle qui croît le plus rapidement. C'est la capitale de l'Etat du Queensland.
Sa population est d'environ 1,7 millions d'habitants.

A partir de Brisbane, si vous allez vers le Nord, vous accèderez à la Sunshine Coast, à Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Charters towers, Cairns... Et en roulant vers le Sud, vous accèderez à la Gold Coast, Sydney...

On peut circuler dans Brisbane grâce aux bus, aux trains mais aussi grâce au "City Cat" qui vogue sur la Bribane River, notamment entre le campus de St. Lucia et Fortitude Valley, en passant par le centre ville.

De la Gold coast a 80Km au sud de Brisbane a la Sunshine coast a 120 km au nord, des barbecues electrique gratuis en plein air bordent tout le littoral et les parcs, avec des points d'eau toilettes et douches hyper clean!!

Ne pas aller au Somewhere to Stay, a moins de vouloir payer aussi cher qu ailleurs 25$, pour dormir dans un endroit crasseux, ou il ne fournisse pas de couverture et de couvert
Backpackers a eviter en famille, plus pour le fun:
Pour pas cher (25 ou 30 dollars)le backpackers de Brisbane est super propre et sympa en plus en plein centre de la ville.
Le back packers de la gold coast est moins nickel mais tres bien pour un court passage.
Classe moyenne
Le Manor Hotel (555 Gregory terrace street) a partir de 65 dollars est sympa comme tout aussi, chambre avec frigo et evier possibilite d'utiliser la cuisine commune.
